Home Inspector Reviews

Home inspector reviews can be critical in your search for an outstanding home inspector for your home purchase in Oregon or Washington.  Nonprofit Home Inspections is unique in the home inspection industry for a number of reasons, but most notably because we have never paid for an advertisement nor have we ever marketed our services to real estate agents.  All of our business comes from positive experiences and referrals from clients like you.

While many home inspectors understand their tremendous responsibility to their clients, some view the minimum requirements set by the state as their standard inspection.  As a mission driven nonprofit organization, we are not profit driven and always strive to go above and beyond what’s required by the state in order to give our clients outstanding, very detailed home inspections.  This attention to detail is reflected in the reviews left by our clients on Google, Yelp, Facebook, Angie’s List, Openbook, and more.  Home inspector reviews like these are critical in helping you make an informed decision about who will inspect your next home.  Please check out our home inspector reviews and let us know how we can be of service to you.

Having just purchased a new home, this was the most valuable investment. The detail of the inspection was outstanding. The detail of the report blew us away. Detailed description of areas inspected and problems uncovered. Full thermal pictures of everything heat and cold related. Sewer video. Complete 360 degree pictures of each room. Russ was great to work with. Very pleasant, patient, friendly, answering all my questions in detail and clearly. Wish all our business interactions could be as wonderful and productive as we had with Russ.

Couldn't be more satisfied with the level of service and expertise! We have had two inspections with Matt and Nonprofit Home Inspections. The first inspection gave us enough information to back out of a contract as the home was structurally unsound. The second inspection gave us enough information to determine the upcoming costs of ownership and helped us in negotiating repairs with the seller before closing. Don't think twice before setting up an appointment Matt. The level of detail and professionalism of these inspections is unmatched.

Tom was excellent! He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and very thorough. He even found issues with the home that were not caught by the previous inspection just 9 months ago. If I ever buy another home in the Portland area, I will absolutely hire Nonprofit Home Inspections.

Tom inspected our new home. Even though it was a new build, he checked every little detail. He was very pleasant and helpful throughout the inspection and taught us a how to take care of the house. I have already recommended Tom and Nonprofit Home Inspections to some of my friends.

I would have no hesitation recommending Nonprofit Home Inspections to anyone. The website is user friendly making scheduling my inspection easy. Reggie responded promptly that he would be the inspector for my home and confirmed with me again the day before the inspection. He was a little early the day of inspection but started the inspection immediately. I don't think he could have been more thorough. I couldn't ask for more from the detailed report and pictures. It will make it easy for me to hire people to make the needed repairs and oversee their work.

Reggie did our home inspection with our real estate agent as we were out of town. He did an excellent job and his report was outstanding. He was incredibly thorough and was able to identify numerous issues, appropriately, that needed to be addressed. His communication has been professional, prompt and informative. I highly recommend Reggie and Nonprofit Home Inspections.

I used Nonprofit Home Inspections on 3 homes and had exceptional service each and every time (Tom and Adam were my inspectors). They are most thorough inspectors I have ever seen on any inspection report. They are meticulous and cover every square inch of the home in great detail. I absolutely recommend them!

Very Friendly and Professional Service. I was stressed out over the whole home buying process and Reggie was a big help. I had to reschedule an appointment and he got back to me less than minutes of me leaving an email. He was able to accommodate mine and my realtor's schedule. He showed up early and was great at his job at the end explaining to me the big concerns about the home. His report with video and pictures were awesome and helpful too! I'm glad I went with Nonprofit Home Inspections. Oh! I also liked the online scheduling option.

Teman (Matt) Montgomery did a great job with our home inspection. He seemed very knowledgeable with all the aspects of home inspection. He was very thorough and was also very patient answering all the questions we had. He promptly delivered report the same night with all the details we had discussed. The company Non-Profit home inspections seems to have mastered the art. The whole experience was fabulous. The sign up was easy, communication leading up to inspection was clear and timely and overall professionalism and courtesy was fantastic. I will highly recommend Non-Profit Home Inspection and Matt to anyone wanting to get a thorough home inspection for their new purchase.

As someone who's hired multiply company's for home inspections, I would highly recommend Nonprofit Home Inspections. I got my appointment the day after I called. My inspector was well certified and thorough. Any issues were explained to me, which made it even easier to read and understand my report. This is the first company I would actually use again and recommend to all my family and friends.

Matt, from Nonprofit Home Inspections did a wonderful job for me. He willingly answered all questions for me, and expanded on the information more than once when he saw related issues that I did not ask about directly. His report is impressive, with pictures, graphs, and comments with areas of interest grouped and organized in an easy to follow format. When I had some follow up questions, he returned my call with in a few hours, answered all questions clearly, AND sent the answers to me via e-mail so that I did not have to depend on my memory. I will recommend Matt and Nonprofit Home Inspections to anyone in need of an inspection. You won't be disappointed. I will not hesitate to use them again if I have the need.

I just had a second inspection done by Matt and Nonprofit Home Inspections. Thorough and courteous as expected. The report is just as before. Well organized and easy to follow. I would like to also give Matt and Company credit for having provided me with a 96 page Home Maintanance Manual for use after the purchase of a home...listing all of the things that need to be checked, and how often, and at what point it is a good idea to call a professional. All well organized, with pictures and a listing of all options. For instance under Low Slope Roofing, items addressed are; Built-up Roofing (BUR), Single Ply Membrane Roofing, Roof Penetration and Seams, and Roll Roofing. Very useful.

When we started our process of home ownership, we were unsure who to turn to for our house inspection. We found good reviews for Nonprofit Home Inspections, so we called them. They responded back quickly and from the first phone call, to two separate inspections, out inspector, Matt was polite, professional and went above and beyond with the insight and information we were in need of to make a decision on purchasing our home. BEST decision we made was to spend the extra money on the Sewer Inspection! It turned out the first home we wanted had a septic tank, not public services, as noted. We decided against that house in the end, as the septic did not fit our lifestyle as homeowners.
Exceptional service - would highly recommend them!

We had a very positive experience with Matt (from Nonprofit Home Inspections). Matt was thorough in his inspection, explanation, and documented report. He patiently explained the important findings to us, after the inspection. We recommend his service without hesitation.
