Home Inspector Reviews

Home inspector reviews can be critical in your search for an outstanding home inspector for your home purchase in Oregon or Washington.  Nonprofit Home Inspections is unique in the home inspection industry for a number of reasons, but most notably because we have never paid for an advertisement nor have we ever marketed our services to real estate agents.  All of our business comes from positive experiences and referrals from clients like you.

While many home inspectors understand their tremendous responsibility to their clients, some view the minimum requirements set by the state as their standard inspection.  As a mission driven nonprofit organization, we are not profit driven and always strive to go above and beyond what’s required by the state in order to give our clients outstanding, very detailed home inspections.  This attention to detail is reflected in the reviews left by our clients on Google, Yelp, Facebook, Angie’s List, Openbook, and more.  Home inspector reviews like these are critical in helping you make an informed decision about who will inspect your next home.  Please check out our home inspector reviews and let us know how we can be of service to you.

We hired Nonprofit Home Inspections to inspect a 1962 house we're buying.
Cody was GREAT! The inspection SUMMARY is 49 pages. He even found a wasp nest in the crawl space. (He didn't mention getting stung. I really hope he's ok.)

I haven't tackled the actual report yet. It's 97 pages!

Cody couldn't get into the sewer line because ancient cast iron cap wouldn't budge. Seriously, I watched. He tried for about 30 min and couldn't get it to move. He went into the sewer through the roof. Who knew you could do that. He didn't get far. Remember, this is an older house built in 1962. He tried several ways to get in there. Nope. We're getting a dedicated sewer company to come out for a deeper inspection.

I'm so impressed with Cody.

I wanted to use Nonprofit Home Inspections because of their mission to improve the home inspection industry with highly trained technicians and help those who need special pricing and services.

It was a great decision. Use Nonprofit Home Inspections. You won't be sorry. Really! Do it now!

Russ (and I believe James) did a wonderful and thorough job of inspecting a home for first time home buyers. He was able to translate technical language into easy to understand perspective and ideas and help us to have confidence in moving forward in our home purchasing process. This was money and time well spent!

Cody was exceptionally helpful inspecting our new condo purchase. He arrived on time and was polite and appeared well-prepared. Following the inspection, he discussed his major findings with us and reviewed some of the most important areas inspected. We also asked him to check the risk of water intrusion from the balcony. We were unaware that this exterior check was an extra service that we did not pay for, but he did a cursory inspection for us, which we greatly appreciated as it was a concern for us. His inspection report was complete by the end of the business day. The report is thorough and some may find it overwhelming. However, my husband and I appreciated the detail, including pictures and videos. It made us feel sure of our purchase and sure of our choice to go with Nonprofit Home Inspections. Thanks Cody!

Tom Walther did an inspection for us of a condo we were considering buying in Lake Oswego. He provided a very thorough and understandable report. While many of the items were not so serious as to cause us to considering declining to buy the condo, they provide a very helpful list of things to be aware of during ongoing maintenance of the unit. We appreciated his taking a good bit of time in a video conference to go over the report, which gave us a good sense of the significance of the various items and ideas about remedies.

I've been working with Nonprofit Home Inspections for years, and have loved working with them. Charles, Thomas, Reggie, Adam, and I'm sure other inspectors I'm spacing on at the moment are all amazing, thorough, and customer focused.

As a Realtor, I started out using an inspector that was referred to me by an acquaintance, and I liked how quick and easy he was to work with. But after realizing that his inspections were quick because they weren't thorough, I went on the hunt for a better solution.

I loved the nature of Charles' business, and after my first inspection with him I was hooked. He has taken great care to train and build a staff of quality inspectors who have done amazing work, steering clients well when an inspection reveals more than they bargained for, and making sure that my clients understand the types of things they'll see on a report that could otherwise be overwhelming.

Love love love this company and will continue to use them whenever I'm able.

Nonprofit Inspections was recommended by our realtor and we also recommend them! We ordered a home inspection of a house we were closing on. Reggie was super thorough and professional! We appreciated that he took his time to explain the most important parts of the inspection at the end. We also were happy when he gave us a home maintenance guide book! As first-time home buyer, his report really helped us understand all the different parts we need to maintain to have a great working home. Thanks Reggie!

Absolutely outstanding service! Reggie was on time and flexible with our schedule, which was very convenient. Also very polite and friendly. We felt very comfortable leaving our home unattended while he completed his inspection indoors.

I have not received an inspection report for a home before, but the results exceeded my expectations. Each issue uncovered by the inspection have a clear explanation of what is wrong and include diagrams on their recommendation of how to fix the problem. The explanations are very helpful to learn more about repairs and re-orient your mind to thinking about what what you can do to improve the longevity of your home.

10/10 Highly recommend; their consistent 5-Star reviews are well earned.

Reggie Anderson inspected the home we are closing on in Washougal, WA. Reggie was extremely thorough and answered all of our questions. He even answered our questions via email a week after he performed our inspection! We were very impressed with the report and the feature to create a Request List from the report was so useful!
