Our Nonprofit Mission

Nonprofit Home Inspections’ mission is to broaden access to and improve the quality of information readily available to homeowners by training home inspectors to deliver a higher level and variety of inspection services, making sure quality home inspection services are available to every home owner, regardless of their ability to pay, and disseminating free information. We believe everyone is entitled to a healthy, safe, environmentally sound, and energy efficient place to live.

NHI's Philosophy

Nonprofit Home Inspections believes that while every home has it’s share of issues, it is better for the potential home owner to know up front what they are dealing with. As they say, knowledge is power, and NHI gives our clients the most technically possible, comprehensive, non-invasive inspection up Oregon and Washington state standards.

The Nonprofit Difference

NHI is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. As such, our inspectors are not driven by a profit motive or the desire to cut corners in any way. With grant and community support, NHI is able to hire and outfit the best certified home inspectors with state of the art equipment. Not driven by the profit motive or franchise requirements, our inspectors’ only interest is making sure you know as much as possible about the home you are about to buy. Using NHI’s knowledge, you can enter into negotiations with a firm understanding of the home’s condition and what you are willing to pay. A small investment upfront in working with NHI will pay off in spades later.
